This is a "Fishhook Cactus".
It is in the center of my cactus garden.
It has many hooked spines along with straight ones,
this is the one cactus you don't want to tangle with.

It's nice to know something can bloom in this 110 degree heat.

First of all, yowzers to the heat! So not for me...
Next, one of the reasons I love to look at cacti is that they remind me that even in the prickliest of things, something beautiful can be found. Even in the roughest of us, something soft needs to be protected. Thanks, Grace, today I needed to be reminded of that!
