A hundred ten in the shade is sorta hot, but you don't have to shovel it off your driveway.  ~Author Unknown

Six Word Saturday

(me at Laguna Beach last year)

Summers are hot here in AZ, it is going to be 106 today...

I long to be somewhere cool.

Go on over and visit Cate, see what everyone else is saying.
It's only six words. You can do it!!

Father's Day

If roses grow in heaven, Lord, pick a bunch for me.

Place them in my father's arms and tell him they're from me.
Tell him that I love and miss him. When he turns to smile

place a kiss upon his cheek and hold him for awhile,
...because remembering him is easy, I do it every day.
There's an ache in my heart that will never go away.

Flag Day ~ You're A Grand Old Flag

You're a Grand Old Flag

by George M. Cohan
You're a grand old flag,
You're a high flying flag
And forever in peace may you wave.
You're the emblem of
The land I love.
The home of the free and the brave.
Ev'ry heart beats true
'neath the Red, White and Blue,
Where there's never a boast or brag.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
Keep your eye on the grand old flag.

You're a grand old flag,
You're a high flying flag
And forever in peace may you wave.
You're the emblem of
The land I love.
The home of the free and the brave.
Ev'ry heart beats true
'neath the Red, White and Blue,
Where there's never a boast or brag.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
Keep your eye on the grand old flag
